  • Family Shelter Wait List

    To get on to the wait list for the Good Neighbor Center family shelter, simply call Community Connect at (503) 640-3263 and ask to be added to the Family Shelter Waitlist. When a room becomes available, our staff will contact your family to work on getting you into the program.

  • Shelter Resident Support

    Once you and your family are in the shelter you will have 6 to 8 weeks at the shelter during which you will work with a housing and employment specialist to gather all necessary documents, engage with life skills classes, prepare resumes and applications, apply for housing and other supportive services to get back on your feet.

  • Housing Services

    A case manager will work with your families to help you apply and sustain housing. There are vouchers and other funds that your family may qualify for which our staff will do everything they can to get you into stable housing.

Housing Stabilization Program:

Services that helps and resources to help individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness or struggling with housing instability. The goal of the program is to help families secure affordable housing.  

Overview of Housing Services:

Rapid Rehousing:

Helps families find and secure permanent housing. This includes financial assistance for rent and security deposits, as well as ongoing case management and support. 

After Leaving GNC:

Families still eligible for up to a year to receive food and hygiene boxes. Along with continued support from a case worker. 

Many families reside in Viewfinder Apartments which is an apartment building fully allocated to affordable housing located in Tigard.
